The Dungaree Story

Calling 90s fashion fans! Dungarees are back again and are definitely here to stay for a long time. Denim dungarees are an A-lists street style staple and a wardrobe go-to. Although there are gazillion types of dungarees available in stores right now, I decided to experiment a bit and style a flattering skater style. With 90s fashion growing fast, it's time to buckle up and embrace Hollywood's new-it trends which is not just denim but also, choker shirts. Part turtleneck, part off-shoulder, this top is everything you ever wanted. My personal favorite thing is to mingle two top trends and come up with a gorgeous outfit. This one is comfortable and chic, perfect for the #backtoschool season. I purchased this super stylish choker top along with this dark washed denim dungaree from stalkbuylove.com and simply can't get enough of it! Paired it with my staple white shoes from ONLY, reflectors from Glassons, watch from Calvin Klein and last but definitely not the least, my black backpack from Michael Kors. Styling denim with Gigi Hadid #CELEBSPIRATION

Denim, denim, denim! The sold out rack of every high street fashion store is the denim section. The varying texture and color make it a staple trend and personally, I simply can't get over it. Gigi Hadid might be my new fashion obsession. With that to-die-for figure and attractive face, she makes every outfit of her's effortless. Her style is rather 90s inspired and very nonchalant. She doesn't try too hard to make a bold statement, but still shines through to get herself noticed. Denim seems to be her BFF too and so, I picked some of her quirky and versatile ways of styling denims. This time I wanted to help you guys a little more, so I've linked some similar pieces which you can buy at much cheaper prices. Check them out and let me know if it helped. Here we go!

#1 Deim + Leather

Pairing denim with leather has been my absolute favorite for various reasons. One being that it is easy to pair it and doesn't need much ado. The second obvious reason being the sporty vibe it potrays making in seamlessly comfortable and super trendy. Brownie points for pairing the look with some white sneakers and reflectors.

#2 Denim on Denim

If you've been an avid reader of my blog, you'd know how much I adore this classy look. It is experimental and can go wrong sometimes, but definitely not in this case. Gigi makes a simple graphic tee look so stylish in this denim on denim look and what really catches your eye is the red velvet boots which indeed, makes this laid back look chic.

#3 Bell bottom Jeans

This retro look is so difficult to pull off, but Gigi just proves that she can suit herself in almost anything and everything. A contrasting choker and simple Tommy Hilfiger sweatshirt makes this a perfect look for a day out.

#4 Parka

Parka's are my new favorite thing for the winters. Winter fashion has been seeing a lot of parkas which are basically a type of coat usually with a hood. Recent fashion trends have modified the traditional parka into more casual and cozy coats which can be wore as one piece dresses. Gigi has a light washed parka with faux fur which she has worn several times along with this faded washed denim parka. Both make for a great comfortable outfit.

#5 Body suit

Body suit's have become every tumblr girls must-have. If you have a well toned body you should own one because it is very flattering and flaunts your body too. Gigi has paired body suits twice in two very different ways. In one look it is very easy going and simple while, in the second one it is a bit dressed up and classy.

#6 All white

White is probably the only color that I would wear a one shade outfit of. It can be a little tricky, but the finished look can never go wrong. This simple look where Gigi has paired her Guess skinny jeans with a white denim jacket and other white pieces looks very sober and trendy. 

#7 Cargo/Joggers

Joggers are the most comfortable piece of clothing I've ever slipped my legs into! They have a sporty vibe to the look and look oh-so-stylish with a pair of sneakers. Cargos too are very in right now and can be worn up or down. They look perfect with a simple t-shirt or sweat shirt and are super easy to style.

#8 Tee + ripped jeans

This is a classic, pairing a white tee with ripped jeans is a must have for every girl. It is my personal favorite last minute outfit for when I'm running late. Instead of keeping it plain you can print your favorite images on the white tee to make it more personalized and quirky. Pair it with contrasting accessories to give the look more color.

A woman carries her world along with her, inside a ladies handbag. And it is not entirely untrue for we do keep our most frequently needed important stuff in our bags to keep them handy on a daily basis. It is no doubt that all of us women feel that bags are very personal items as well as functional. Ladies handbags are also a means of expressing oneself. Once I had questioned some of my female colleagues as to what they felt about their own bags and all of them had agreed unanimously that ladies handbags were indeed the most important to them and all of them loved hunting for bags online. You may also identify with them.

       

With a bag it is possible to attain the image and look that we desire very easily. Along with the image that it offers, most of you will probably agree with me that bags most certainly have to meet our functional needs too, not just image, but at the same time we don’t want them too heavy to carry around.

                   

Since my childhood while flipping through the pages of a glossy magazine or while staring at the hoardings on the streets with a celebrity endorsing the brand, I had secretly desired to own an expensive ladies handbag someday, which comes in the latest style. Even if we are not too brand centric, many of us do feel that purchasing an expensive handbag is a type of investment; we look for designs that are classic but also smart and trendy at the same time, so that we can use them in more than one fashion season. Like the way I think, you may also feel that your favourite bag which is so trendy in the current season is considered outdated in the next fashion season! #CELEBSPIRATION June'16 Trends

It's finally June and it's that time of the month where I go scouting on social media for some inspiration to style outfits for the current season. Although we're slowly stepping into the gloomy, monsoon days, it's still hot and excessively humid! I decided to round up 10 looks from Instagram that I'm definitely digging and share them with you guys. Also, #HAPPYHAPPYHAPPY becuase we're over 1K on instagram now! Let me know which one was your favorite and if I should do one of these every month!

> Playsuits
They're fun, super comfortable and versatile. Play suits have become like my new favorite and it has definitely become an addiction. They can be layered or can just be worn otherwise. They come in different materials and patterns which is a good thing because you can dress it up and down according to your liking. Parineeti Chopra style it with ease, yay or nay for this look?

> Denim on Denim
This super experimental look has been spotted so many times lately and I can't wait to try it out myself. It can be a little too much for some, but trying something new once in a while didn't hurt anyone! You can go all out with denim from flared trousers, baggy jackets, shirts, summer dresses, button down skirts or even overalls. The other day I read Cosmopolitan's cover story all about denims featuring Esha Gupta and knew I had to include this!

> Palazzo suits
Can't get cotton Indian wear this summer especially when they're in such beautiful pastel shades and printed palazzo pants, of course. You can totally make any Indian outfit Indo - western with palazzo pants and add some accessories that compliment it well for a girl-next-door look. I am obsessed with how our fashionista Sonam Kapoor has paired this Anavila Misra suit with tan shoes and a matching cross bod handbag. Can't get over it! 

> 90's inspired chokers
Red carpets, interviews, movies or YouTube, chokers are going big literally everywhere. They make for a statement accessory without being too on-the-face. Pairing them with strapless or off-shoulder tops or dresses is an ideal option and give you some serious 90's vibes. PC looks ravishing in this off shoulder emerald green top and the thick black choker compliments it very well. 

> Bomber Jackets
You guys know how much I adore bomber jackets. They're a perfect option to look casual chic and look great with denims and some stylish sneakers. They're available in all stores in varied styles. I love how well put together this laid back outfit is yet, very fashionable.

> Off-shoulders
I couldn't help but add this one to the list. My closet is literally filling up with off-shoulders. Not gonna blame anyone because I'm simply can't get over this old school bare shoulder trend. Love, love , love how Kangana Ranaut has paired this cropped white off shoulder with high-waisted light washed shorts. Her wrap up flats complete the outfit so well and is giving me some serious #OOTD inspiration.

> Bralets
During these scorching summer days, every girls favorite piece of layering item is a bralet. Lce and strappy ones are my absolute favorite and look super cute under tank tops off-shoulder or muscle tanks. Recently, I saw this months edition of the Hello Magazine and fell for this girly yet edgy look feauting Alia Bhatt. The striped shorts and monochrome blazer looks fresh and gorgeous with this pastel pink bustier top. Fab or Grab?

Summer Obsessions!

At the moment, I'm writing about my 'summer' obsessions and I glare out of my window only to see a gloomy city with grey clouds! I guess, it's unpredictable here. Nevertheless, I'm sharing with you guys my ultimate favorites of the season, ranging from apparels, beauty to books and movies. Summer for me is all about being carefree, comment down below what summer for you is! Let's get started with my obsessions :-)

> Beauty

#1 Makeup Revolution: Iconic Pro Blush, Bronze and Brighten smoulder
This product has got to be one of my all time favorite make up products. It is an all in one blush, bronzer and higlighter pallete in a mirrored compact which is perfect for a beginner like me. The highlighter in particular is my favorite because it isn't too bright and looks natural under the sun. I bought it in the shade "Flush" which is ideal for a light to medium Indian skin tone.

#2 Body shop: Tea tree flawless BB Cream

Yes, I have ranted about this product in my spring summer haul before, but I cannot not mention this product! I have used this as a base for almost all summer and simply love it's coverage, formula and pigmentation. 

#3 Estee Lauder lip gloss in the shade "Extravagant pink"
Being a complete matt person I wanted to experiment my lips this summer. I decided to bring the gloss back when I came across this shimmery pink lip gloss on the Estee Lauder counter and knew I had to get my hands on it! It is a very girly, yet natural shade and is super easy to apply.

#4 Maybelline NewYork white super fresh compact:
This product drives the summer oiliness and shine so well and keeps you fresh all day. You can literally carry this tiny mirrored compact with you and keep your makeup in place during this hot and sweaty days. It lasts super long and keeps your face looking fresh.

#5 Rose Water:

This has been a life saving summer hack to be honest. During summers I often faced issues of smelling sweaty and so to avoid foul smell I tried this hack. I basically add a few drops of rose water into my bucket and this helps me smell fresh for the day. It has multiple beauty uses as well and I'm going to try them soon.

> Hair

#1 BBlunt: Intense Moisturize conditioner for seriously dry hair

My hair has been going through quite a turmoil this season. With insane amount of hairfall and dryness I switched to the BBlunt conditioner as my sister is gaga over it and felt an incredible amount of change. Must have for this transitioning summer season.

#2 Loreal:
 Wild Stylers by Techniart
Beach waves are a must, must, must have for summer. As I have really wavy/curly hair, I am often too lazy to style them with heat appliances. Instead, I like to spray this on for a sea salt spray effect and I am good to go. Not gonna lie, it does damage my hair a bit, nevertheless I love the finished look.

> Clothes & Shoes

#1 Forever 21:
 While I was shopping for college I bought loads of casual tops and decided to include two of my favorites in this post. This one is a casual mid waist cropped top. It reads "mind over matter" and looks great with a pair of dark washed high waist denims.

#2 Topshop: 
For a person who adores bohemian styles and intricate embroidery, I bought this top which is giving me serious music festival vibes. 

#3 Forever 21 tan block heels:
 Tan has been my favorite color this season. I really wanted comfortable heels in this particular shade and I'm so glad to having been able to find it. Can't wait to style them in more different ways.

> Movies, books & TV shows

#1 Mood for the day: Korean movies and dramas have really gotten me hooked this summer so I thought of including some in this post! This movie is a very light hearted romantic comedy and is oh-so-cute.

           

#2 Me Before you: Of course, you all have heard about this one and being an emotional lovey-dovey girl I just had to write about his one. I prefer the book, but nevertheless the film was breathtaking. 

               

#3 The kite Runner: I am very late to discover Khaled Hosseini, but I am glad I did because it is never too late. This book gave me so much inspiration all throughout summer and I wouldn't mind reading it all over again. One of the best fiction books you'll ever read!

#4 Ram Chandra Series: I was always a no - mythology person until I read this book. I can't put down this book and it is so well written. A must read this summer. Can't wait to finish the three part series!

#5 Home and Away: One of my must do this summer was watch this Australian Drama TV show called home and away. It is so awfully good and deals with relationships on a different level. If you're looking for a new TV show, try this one you won't regret it.
