Summer Casuals 101

Summer calls for comfy yet stylish clothes. I like to play with different patterns and light yet subtle colors for a casual summer look. My idea of a casual look is an over sized  shirt with stylish boyfriend jeans and a pair of white sneakers. Sunglasses, bags, watches and other accessories are good add- ons for a more detailed and complete outfit. Here is how my take on a casual chill summer outfit, enjoy!

Shirt and Jeans: ONLY,  Shoes: Vero Moda, Bag: Michael Kors, Watch: Titan

Hair care routine

There is nothing essentially fancy about the hair care products I use, but since I haven't done a hair care routine ever I thought it would be a good idea to do one. I use very limited products and don't believe in switching them every once in a while especially when they are doing well for me. Here is my hair care routine!

> Shampoo:

I shampoo my hair once in three days or two depending upon how greasy and oily my hair gets. Usually I apply it twice and making sure it lathers properly. I wash it using luke warm water. For years I have been using the Himalaya Daily Protein shampoo. Firstly, it is a natural shampoo free of chemicals which makes it my favorite as I believe commercial shampoos can harm my hair. It smells great and drives off any flaky scalp or oiliness, I do not believe in the concept of changing your shampoo every six months, but I do run out of it, I am compelled to use "Mythic oil shampoo"

> Conditioner:

Honestly, I am not very particular about my conditioner, but recently my hair stylist coaxed me to use one regularly as it affected my hair drastically and recommended that I use the mythic oil conditioner. It improved my hair by helping me get rid of split ends and favored hair growth too. I would also recommend using the B-blunt conditioner for highly damaged hair which works well too.

> Dry Shampoo:

Lately, dry shampoo has become almost a daily routine. It works wonders for my hair which is prone to getting greasy almost everyday. It gives instant freshness and scent. Gives my hair volume and sometimes I just spray it for some texture. If you're looking for a compact and easy to use dry shampoo, this is an ideal choice. You can also opt for the Tony and Guy dry shampoo which works just as well.

> Serum;

Serums are new to the people but an essential if you have frizzy, tangled or especially curly hair. It acts as a conditioner, hair mask and a styling tool. It apply it after every hair wash when my hair is still damp making sure I do not apply it on my scalp. It really makes my hair manageable which gets excessively frizzy after a hair wash. I used to apply the Moroccan oil serum for almost six months, but stopped using it as it was very expensive and have been using this since as it works just as good.

> Hair Oil:

Yes, you're probably grossed out by the term "hair oil" but the only reason my hair is still in a presentable condition is because of using one. I keep switching my hair oils every once in a while just to condition my hair is different ways although, this is my most used hair oil. I like to apply it at least once or twice a week by heating it for a few seconds and keep it overnight. I wash it properly the next morning. I also use hair oils from Kerala or almond oil occasionally. If you're not using a hair oil, you probably should because it's never too late!

> After shampoo I usually let it dry naturally and barely use a dryer only when I am in a hurry.

> I have never dyed my hair so really don't know if these products are recommended for that. Although, I plan on coloring my hair, I haven't been able to do so as I am terrified of losing the natural shine, volume and healthiness of my hair.

> Also, I do not style my hair on a regular basis and do not use vigorous hair sprays or texturing sprays as they don't suit my hair.

> I also apply some curd on my hair once a month as a DIY hair mask along with egg yolk (I know, gross) but helps my hair condition well.

I hope you guys liked the post. Happy weekend!

It's almost summer and honestly not looking forward it. What I am looking forward for is peppy music! Surfing on the internet for unheard and unconventional music is a big struggle, but being a fan of mainstream pop music I like a blend of both. Here's my spring playlist!

> Candy man - Zedd
> Wave board - Tarro
> Make my love go - Jay Sean
> Hey skrillex - OmegaMode
> Share your love - Traces

> Gold - Kiiara
> No - Meghan Trainor
> Don't let me down - Chainsmokers ft Daya
> In my room - Yellow Claw & DJ Mustard ft Ty Dolla sign and Tyga
> You can't own me - Grace ft Geazy
> Feels (Jai wold remix) - Kiiara
> Selfish love - Uplink& Kovan ft Brenton Mattheaus

Spring/Summer Beauty Haul

Hey everybody! Hope you all are having an amazing day. Lately, I've accumulated quite a lot of beauty products ranging from skincare to makeup. So here is a haul and hope you guys enjoy.

#MAKEUP

1. Calypso 8 lipstick from Bobbi Brown

This is a perfect shade for spring/summer because it is a perfect blend of orange, pink and red without being too on-the-face. It is ideal for a day out or brunch look. Since, summer is soon going to be begin, it is a beautiful poppy shade and looks great in pictures. It is a matte, highly pigmented and long lasting lipstick.

2. Infinite lash lengthening mascara from Chambor

Probably my favorite mascara till date. Having used the maybelline mascaras for the longest time, I'm highly satisfied with this product. It fulfills it's promise of lengthening mascara and it's curved applier makes the eyelashes look fluttery. The only problem is that it is not waterproof.

3. Absolute shine line from Lakme

This is a product that is definitely going to make an entry into my makeup bag again. It's very thin and fine brush helps in making precise wings. Although, it is not smudge free or water proof, I really like it.

4. Eyeliner pencil from Attitude

I am not a typical everyday kajal girl, but i wanted a coal kajal which could give me a smudgy and smokey look. It works very well to attain such a look.

5. Tea tree flawless BB cream

Probably my favorite product from this entire haul. I have tried immense amounts of BB creams, but none have been so impressive. I would highly recommend it to anyone with acne problems. It gives medium coverage, has SPF and gives an even complexion. (Also, smells great!) It is available in only three shades, not giving much variety. I am using 02 which is a tad bit light for me.

6. Born lippy from Bodyshop

Born lippy is a typical range of lip balms. Not much to share about it, but works well for flaky, dry lips.

#Skincare

1. Soundaraya Advanced serum from Forest Essentials

Forest essentials is a luxury Ayurveda brand. Owing to the fact that it is natural, the effects are also very slow. Be very patient while using these. It is very expensive, but I'm a lover of natural products so eager to see how it works.

2. Eternal youth formula from Forest Essentials

Date and Litchi flavor. Must be used with the serum at night.

3. Oil blotting sheets from Sephora

Summer is all year round in Mumbai. For a person like me who perspires a lot, it is essential to get rid of shine. Powder can make your face look cakey, so this is a good product of keeping your face fresh. It is highly over priced. I would recommend the basic care natural oil blotting sheets which work equally well and are fairly priced.

4. Green tea fiber mask from Sephora

This is one product I haven't tried out yet. Hopefully I'll try it soon and do a full review on it.

#DIY polaroids without a polaroid camera

#DIY Polaroids without a polaroid camera!
Polaroids are definitely a thing now. Whether you have a legit polaroid camera or no, you always have a jugaad. Here's an easy way how. Thank me later ;-)

Select your favourite pictures and paste them on a word document.
Then align them in order to have at least a 4cm gap from all four sides.

Then print it on photo paper available in any stationary store.
I used the Kodak photo paper.
Make sure you select the correct photo printing options on your computer.

cut them out in the shape of polaroid

Use some superglue duct tape to stick them where you want to.

Cut them in small rectangles and stick it on the back of the photo.

You can basely stick these pictures anywhere but I decided to
put them on my study table. It was really gloomy on there and definitely
gave me some inspiration to study!
