Best of September '16 #celebspiration

Hello all of you, how's Tuesday treating you? We all love a dose of celeb style for inspiration and styling purposes and here's why I bring to you the best of fashion of this month. With NYFW and a lot of festivities around this month, I bring to you my favorite celebrity spotting just off Instagram! Let me know what was your favorite look. Let's get into it!

> Priyanka Chopra at #NYFW
PC pretty much slayed at the New York Fashion show with her high fashion choices. At both the days she flaunted two very different style from stripes to blingy florals. She kept it very simple with the accesories, makeup and hair and made her outfits shine.

> Shraddha Kapoor
Leather is back and how! Love the khaki green leather skirt which compliments the lace top with ease. This super sexy outfit looks great with the dewy makeup and messy hair. The lace heels finish off this look on a high note.

> Katrina Kaif
A flowy Ritu Kumar white gown with a tad bit of tan is all you need to look like a bohemian queen. Simple hair and makeup with a pop of red on the lips with antique jewellery makes this a must have outfit choice for those breezy summer evenings.

> Kiara Advani
Off-shoulders and florals in a jumpsuit make this a super trendy look for September. It is easy-breezy, can be dressed up and down and those strappy contrasting heels is giving me serious inspiration to colour block!

> Kangana Ranaut
Travel style never looked so good. Backless sporty tees have been all over stores and Kangana's oh-so-sexy look is making me go gaga. A colourful bralet which different patters is a must have for summer and of course, you can't d without some "kaala chashma" this season.

> Kendall Jenner at #NYFW
The one person that completely stood out for me was Kendall Jenner. My,my her style has really inspired me to include more floral pieces in my closet. Almost all of her appearances this week have included floral detailing. Kendall makes ever outfit look effortless from her bra let and bomber jacket street style to all glammed up off shoulder glam look.

>Siddharth Malhotra
Just how could I talk about best of fashion and not include Siddharth's filmfare shoot. I've loved all his looks from the shoot, but this one is personally my favorite. A denim suit with matching trousers with hems and them dior shoes.  The undone tie and black shirt just complete the look have got me crushing so hard!

>Athiya Shetty
Wit festivities around the corner, this one has been my ultimate favorite. Athiya Shetty wore one of my favorite designers, Anita Dongre for Ganpati and it couldn't be styled any better. The earrings, simple makeup and flats are a perfect example of dressing simple for festivals.

"Desire" by Dolce & Gabbana #Review

Hello readers, hope you're having a great friday! Those of you who follow me on Instagram ( @justjilanithingsblog ) *shameless self promotion* know that I recently bought the "Desire"  perfume and without a doubt I had to review it! I've really gotten myself into a fetish of perfumes and scents and on my recent trip to Sephora, I just found myself eyeing on these gorgeous perfumes. After loads of decision time, I finally settled for this one and after using it for almost two weeks, here's my review, enjoy!

For those of you who don't know, let's take you back a little into the history of Dolce & Gabbana. In 2006, they launched "The One" which was a widely popular fragrance. "Desire" is it's successor. Along with this perfume, I came across three more scents under the same label. The one very peculiar detail about each of these perfumes are it's unique composition and the fact that there is something for every personality.

Packaging:
What caught my eye in the very first glance was it's gorgeous packaging. Never have I ever looked at a bottle and drooled over how classy it looked! It is a black glossy rectangular bottle which says it's name in gold engravings. It is definitely not the most travel friendly bottle, but the fact that it was available in a rectangular box and that it is not made up of glass really helps.

Ingredients:
Mandarin, Lychee, Bergamot, Lily, Tuberose, Jasmine, Plum nector, Caramel, Sandalwood, Musk, Labdanum.

Fragrance:
The first few notes that hit me when I got a hint of this perfume were Feminine and Caramel! The scent is sultry with a hint of sweetness which is added because of the rich caramel, lily and Jasmine. It undoubtedly sets the mood for a Friday girls night out. Mandarin and Bergamot play the high notes and leave a long lasting impression. Since I am not the best at describing notes I am going to say this scent does it's best in captivating the feeling of "Desire" in the best way possible. My favorite part is that it is very wearable, soft and very versatile not just for different occasions, but also different ages.

All in all:
Dolce and Gabbana is a luxury brand, so I am going to be honest here. It's not something you can buy regularly and splurge on for an everyday look, but nevertheless it's ultra feminine yet sexy scent is one of a kind and highly recommend it for deep floral lovers.
4/5

LBD #OOTD

Heading to a party, have nothing to wear, your hair is in tangled knots, eyeliner is uneven and a few minutes on the clock? That's when you pick your LBD! Last sunday was my best friend, Mansi's birthday and after many years I actually wore a cute black dress. Being very colorful when it comes to my apparel choices, I often avoid black, but this gorgeous bohemian lace dress from Forever 21 is my kind of perfect mix of elegance and fierce. Here are a few pictures I clicked before heading out and I thought I'd share it with you guys! Have a look xx

Tie dye love

For the past few weeks I've got my eye on the summery tie dye trend and couldn't wait to style this gorgeous off-shoulder blue dress from Stalk Buy Love for a bohemian look that I'm totally digging this season. Tie dye is a forgotten trend that has made a jaw dropping comeback because who doesn't love to add a bit of indiness to their wardrobe? I paired this minimalistic dress with some layered silver jewelry. It was a first for me to experiment with chokers and necklaces and I'm surely going to do it more often. Finished off the look with some tan details. My staple sling purse and block sandals from Forever 21. Legit shot this look whilst it was raining so hope you really appreciate the effort!

Maybelline Fashion brow Duo shaper Review

Hello lovelies! After a fairly long amount of in activeness on this blog I'm finally back with an interesting product review. Eyebrows, eyebrows, eyebrows, totally what everybody has their eyes on nowadays! Having your #browsonfleek is nothing less than a necessity for every girl and I think I've found what I need to slay my brow game! The Maybelline fashion brow duo shaper is one of the first few eyebrow products I've used and I can say, it's the best I've used till date. Let's get into the detailed review ^_^

Maybelline is one of the best makeup brands in town currently with a variety of products with different shades and great quality. The fashion brow duo shaper has two caps on either side, one of which encases a pencil and the second, which encases a powder tip to shape your brows and give it a soft finish. There are two shades available, grey and brow.

Of course, if you can't tell already I'm quite impressed with the product. Being a person who loves a super natural finish, this product has got me hooked. Since I have thick, black eyebrows I opted for a grey shade which blends well without making my eyebrows pop out more than it should. The pencil is very sharp for precise shaping and helps me easily draw even eyebrow shapes. The powder tip is personally my favorite part of the experience because it softens the entire look and gives a natural, undone effect.

I bought it off nykaa.com for Rs.196 (after discount) which is a pretty good deal owing to the fact that the product is of amazing quality. It lasts very long too and at the same time is easy to remove.

The pencil is not the best eyebrow pencil I've used. Would have loved it to be more creamy in texture and easy to blend, but nevertheless the sponge tip makes up for the not-so-pigmented pencil. The sponge does not leave sharp edges on the corner of your eyebrows and and yet, fills gaps and makes your brows look well defined. The sponge smudges the product very well on your brows and gives a fluffy look which I'm obsessed with!

The funny part is that I can't really pick out any flaw in the product except for the fact it is goddamn addicting. Definitely recommend this to everyone who is looking for a natural, light product for an everyday purpose or otherwise. Fairly priced, precise shapes and a soft finish which is all you ever wanted!

Forest Essentials facial cleansers #beautyreview

Left to right: Saundarya Ayurvedic serum, Eternal youth formula (date and lichi),
Delicate facial cleanser (Kahmiri saffron and rosewater), Delicate facial
cleanser (Honey and rosewater)

The past few weeks of this transitioning monsoon season have been pretty challenging for my skin. Having very sensitive skin prone to acne and frequent breakouts, I'm very particular about the kind of skincare products I use. Since, the past six months I've been obsessing over Forest Essentials, a luxury Ayurveda brand. Being a chemical-free and all natural product lover, this brand has become my absolute go-to. I have purchased their creams, serums and body lotions, but this time around I bought their delicate facial cleansers in two varities, "Mashobra Honey and Rosewater" and "Kashmiri saffron and neem" Let's get down to the review!

What I like:

> Packaging: The packaging of this product is one of my favorites. It is travel friendly, compact and can fit anywhere. It has a plastic stopper which helps us use the required amount of product at a time without wasting much and helps in avoiding spillage. All in all the packaging is great.

> Worth the price: The 50ml package is available for Rs. 275 which is a good bargain for a luxury Ayurvedic brand. Considering you need a very small quantity , it lasts easily for  6 months or so and is an economical buy for regular use.

> Mild: As I mentioned about I have very sensitive skin, so to compliment that I need a very mild facewash and this product does that perfectly. As the bottle says it is very delicate on the skin especially the "Kashmiri saffron and neem" which suits my acne prone skin. It is ideal for everyday use to clean your skin.

> Ingredients: This is probably my favorite part of this product. It is completely natural and chemical free and doesn't make my skin struggle with any harsh chemicals. It contains some exceptional ingredients like kewda, rosewater and neem oil which are great for your skin.

> Variety for all skin types: When I visited the store the salesperson guided me through their face washes and it was pleasant to know that there was a face wash for each skin type. The "Kashmiri saffron and neem" in particular is for oily skin and the "soya milk" variety is for dry skin. They work in your skin's weaknesses and repair is very soon.

> Immediate results: The most appealing aspect of this product that will make you want to repurchase it is that it leaves an immediate result on your skin. Every time I use it, it leaves a fabulous glow on my skin. It drives oiliness away like magic. It has a great scent too.

What I don't like:

>  Consistency: The consistency is a slightly thick to almost liquid which I don't really have a problem with. The only thing which is not very satisfying to the experience is that it does not foam or lather. It does behave like a quintessential face wash and I'm unsure whether that's good or bad. It possibly doesn't lather because it is chemical free.

> Doesn't work on acne: Although it does not promise to reduce acne, I expected some good results when it comes to pigmentation. It didn't do so considering it is very mild. It only leaves your skin soft, hydrates it and adds a gorgeous glow.

That is it for the review. Overall, it is a must-try. If you're looking for worth the price product which is completely natural, go for this one, trust me you won't regret it!

Eid #OOTD

Belated Eid Mubarak to all my readers! Undoubtedly, eid is one of the happiest days of the year. Every year I indulge in some heavy silhouettes and bling, but this year I opted for a very simple and elegant Lucknowi mint green dress that I'm obsessed with. While I was busy distributing some delicious sevaiya to some friends and family, I took some time out to click some snaps for an #OOTD post. This dress was in material form from "Vandana" and I got it stitched according to my liking at "Sagar boutique" both located in Linking road, Bandra. I opted for a boat neck, full length sheer sleeves and full length kurti. Here are some pictures, enjoy!

Dress: Vandana, Heels: Inch 5,
Sunnies: Glassons, Earrings: Colaba Cuseway
